John Hall (NaturalWestPhotoramas)

I am John W Hall, a retired computer guy now living in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. My primary photographic interest is landscape, but I also shoot local events for friends, including the Stoney-Nakoda First Nations (a.k.a. "Indians" ) people on the Morley reserve, which is a few km west of home. I also shoot a lot of panoramas, which I print up to 14 feet wide. A few of those are here, in the Other/Panoramas gallery. Many of my images I now print on canvas.

Cochrane is a town of about 15,000 people, about 30 km west of Calgary, a vibrant modern city of over one million inhabitants. I have a good view of the Rocky Mountains to the west, and the Canadian prairie is to the east, where it's so flat you can see tomorrow coming. Local attractions are the Calgary Stampede, the Royal Tyrrell Musuem (dinosaurs etc) in the Drumheller Badlands, Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, Banff, the Icefields Parkway (leading to Jasper), wind turbines near Fort McLeod and Cowley, and the International Peace Park at Waterton.
